Toros know the value of team bonding and supporting the local community
The San Antonio Toros are set to make their 2026 regular-season debut on the road against the Syndicate on Saturday evening, but before they get to work on the field, they are strengthening team bonds and forging a family culture off it.
The team made it a point to come together, enjoy each other through various outings, and, importantly, immerse themselves in the San Antonio community by supporting local teams and businesses.

Here’s a sample of what the hometown team has been up to:
To stay cool in the San Antonio heat, the team took a dip and became “pool buddies.”
The Toros also did their part to support the San Antonio Spurs during their playoff run, coming together for their own watch party at Pockets Billiards.
Speaking of supporting the local San Antonio teams, the Toros spent an evening with the San Antonio Missions (Flying Chanclas) baseball team for fun times, and the team was recognized on the scoreboard.
And what team-bonding outing would not be complete without coming together for some good ol’ San Antonio Mexican food? The Toros visited Angels Mexican Haven, and from the looks of it, they ate well!
You may ask, “Why is this important?”
One, the team did not have much of a long training camp, and they are having to get to know one another as quickly as possible.
Also, the league does not have a long preseason slate (one game), so teammates getting familiar with each other is key to creating camaraderie that is crucial on the football field and in the huddle.
And it appears the Toros are well on their way to becoming a strong unit with the right chemistry to chase an incredible season.
The Toros will kick off their home regular season schedule against the Tall City Black Gold on June 14. Start time is at 7:00 P.M.

In addition, the game will not be played at the Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium at the University of the Incarnate Word. The new location will be at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex, 200 Noblewood Dr., 78220.
To catch all the Toros action on the field, tickets are now available, including fan-ownership options. Fans can also support the team and watch the games on the Toros official YouTube page.
