Toros add NFL Hall-of-Fame Scout, John Peterson

The San Antonio Toros have announced that the team has signed NFL Hall-of-Fame Scout, John Peterson, as Director of Player Personnel.

Rumblings about Peterson’s addition have been brewing over the last few weeks, given that he was with the team during the open tryout.

Peterson comes to the Toros with a stellar background and will be a huge key to the team’s success. He spent 19 years as a scout in the NFL and had two Super Bowl appearances with Seattle and Carolina. He also earned the 2010 NFL Scout of the Year Award.

And if his name sounds familiar in San Antonio, it should.

He served as the San Antonio Riders (WLAF) Vice President & General Manager and as the Director of Football Operations with the San Antonio Commanders (AAF).

The new season is closing in, and to catch all the Toros action on the field, tickets are now available, including fan-ownership options. Toros’ opening day is on May 30 versus the Texas Syndicate.
