Toros sign former UTSA star WR De’Corian “JT” Clark
The San Antonio Toros have officially signed former University of Texas at San Antonio star wide receiver De’Corian “JT” Clark.
Clark, listed at 6-3, 220 pounds, had an impressive pro-day showing and drew the attention of the Toros coaching staff, eager to fill out the roster ahead of the Toros’ opening day on May 30 versus the Texas Syndicate.
“Very excited to have De’ Corian Clark on board,” posted head coach Stan Bedwell on X. “That makes five from UTSA and working like hell to get some more UIW representation as well!”
Clark played in two games for UTSA in 2024 before suffering a season-ending injury. However, he comes to the Toros with an impressive college football resume, with a second-team All-Conference USA selection nod at wide receiver in 2022, set the UTSA football’s single-game standard for receiving yards with 217 on nine catches in 2022, and caught 51 passes for 741 yards and eight touchdowns, while averaging 14.5 yards per reception and 82.3 yards per game in the same year.
He finished his UTSA career with 113 receptions, 1573 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a 13.9 yards per catch average.
Overall, playing for the Toros will help him get his football career on track after suffering two season-ending knee injuries during his Roadrunners playing days, where UTSA football coach Jeff Traylor called him the best wide receiver in UTSA history.
To catch all the Toros action on the field, tickets are now available, including fan-ownership options.
