He was named MVP of the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl after a four-year college career as a dual-threat starter [1].

He is one of only three SEC quarterbacks — joining Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott — to record more than 9,000 career passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards [2].

The San Antonio native starred at Ronald Reagan High School and IMG Academy before becoming a four-year starter at Texas A&M (2017–20), finishing with 9,661 passing yards and 71 touchdowns plus more than 1,500 rushing yards [1][2]. Minnesota drafted him No. 66 overall in 2021 [1][2]. After NFL stops that included the Vikings and Browns, he signed with the San Antonio Brahmas in October 2024 and started at quarterback for them in 2025, throwing for 850 yards and two touchdowns [2][3].
