Toros Update: A Weekend Full of Energy in San Antonio – SA Builds a Championship Legacy!

What a weekend for Toros Nation!
The excitement is building as the Toros gear up for the upcoming CoFL season, and the past couple of days have shown exactly why San Antonio football is about to roar back louder than ever. From community celebrations to big reveals and meaningful connections, the Toros are hitting the ground running.
Weekend Highlights: Cornyval, Uniform Reveals & More
The team’s “Join the Stampede” event was a huge success—no rain, just pure energy! They unveiled the new football uniforms (they look sharp), got a show-stopping cheerleader performance and uniform reveal from the Matadoras, and welcomed four new owners through our WeFunder campaign. The vibe was electric, and it felt like the whole city was ready to stampede with us.
Next was Cornyval—Fans were invited to head out and meet the players and Matadoras in person! It was the perfect chance to connect with the team that’s bringing pro football back to San Antonio with pride.
We also took a moment to express our deepest thanks to all our incredible partners. You make this possible, and we’re grateful to grow this together.
Ownership Legacy
And in a special moment, I had the honor of meeting Hank Hight, son of legendary former owner Henry Hight. Connecting with the family that built this team’s championship legacy is incredibly motivating—we’re committed to carrying that torch forward and delivering the winning football San Antonio deserves.
Season Hype: The Stampede Is Coming
This is more than just another season—it’s the return of Toros football with fresh energy, new talent, and a relentless drive to compete at the highest level. We’ve got the uniforms ready, the cheer squad fired up, and a community that’s showing up strong.
Expect hard-hitting action, family-friendly entertainment, and a team that plays with heart for this city every single snap. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the Toros, 2026 is going to be unforgettable. ¡Vamos Toros!
WeFunder Update: We’re at $43K – Help Us Hit the Next Milestone
The Toros have already brought on new owners through WeFunder and have reached $43K so far. The team has almost met the first goal of raising 50k in public investment, which will trigger the public launch and make the Toros the first of the CoFL teams to achieve this monumental task and launch the 2nd round of fundraising.
This raise is about more than funding—it’s about building ownership in the team for fans and supporters who want to be part of something bigger. Every investment helps us strengthen the roster, enhance the fan experience, and solidify the Toros’ future in San Antonio.
